Normal member

MYREN membership is open to any organizations that undertake Research & Development (R&D) activities.  Potential member must express intention to use MYREN for research and education use only. 

Normal membership is open to any research-oriented organisations that intend to conduct research-oriented activities with MYREN members and partners.  We would like to encourage the following organisation to apply:

• Publicly-funded Universities
• Privately-funded Universities & Colleges
• Government Research Institutions
• National Centre of Excellence
• Research Laboratories

A common fee structure is applicable for a normal member.  No additional charges will be imposed to a member for technical services managed by MYREN Network Operation Centre (NOC). For details on fee, contact our NOC at 03-8318 3151 or helpdesk@myren.net.my

Members must arrange for an access link from its location site to MYREN NOC. This can be a lease line or microwave link.  A potential member is advised to contact a preferred service provider for this link. 

Affiliate member

This membership is open to any research organization that has common interests in the objectives of MYREN, but does not require any access link to MYREN.  An Affiliate Member typically represents an organization that benefits from the use of the advanced research and education applications/tools that MYREN aims to facilitate and promote.  An affiliate member can participate in MYREN activities e.g. Seminars, Workshops and receive regular information updates.  No fees are applicable for this type of membership.
