MDEC’s function as a MYREN project implementer was subsequently expanded as a project manager and consultant in 2006 for a period until 2015. MDEC is also tasked to monitor and maintain the MYREN network through the MYREN network operations center (MYREN NOC) based at the MYREN Point of Presence (POP) data center in Cyberjaya since 2005. In addition, MDEC also takes on the role of running programs technical training for the MYREN community and also as a ministry representative for international cooperation.
