The Technical Training Workshop was successfully conducted from 24 to 26 April 2026 at the Grand Margherita Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak. The three-day event brought together 45 participants, including representatives from the Information Management Division of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) serving as the MYREN administrator, regional network administrators, and representatives from Telekom Malaysia (TM).
The primary objective of the workshop was to equip network administrators with the essential knowledge and technical skills required to effectively manage the MYREN network at their respective institutions.
The workshop blended comprehensive briefings with intensive, hands-on practical sessions. The curriculum focused on core MYREN services, including eduroam, ThousandEyes, Network Monitoring System (NMS), EduVPN, and FileSender.
Through this training, participants gained valuable knowledge and were successfully equipped with the expertise needed to improve network efficiency at their respective institutions.
