The Technical Training Workshop was successfully conducted from 26 to 28 June 2026 at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.
The three-day event brought together 35 participants, including representatives from the Information Management Division of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) serving as the MYREN administrator, university network administrators, and representatives from TT dotCom Sdn Bhd (TIME).
The primary objective of the workshop was to equip network administrators with the essential knowledge and technical skills required to effectively manage the MYREN network at their respective institutions.
The workshop blended comprehensive briefings with intensive, hands-on practical sessions. The curriculum focused on core educational digital initiatives, including the project status presentation, cybersecurity landscape in the education sector, cybersecurity center requirements, implementation of the CAT and getEduroam applications, and digital infrastructure transformation.
Through this interactive approach, participants gained actionable insights and technical proficiency, enabling them to return to their institutions ready to optimize network performance.
