The 16th Asi@Connect Meeting was successfully held from 16 to 18 October 2024 in Seoul, Korea. The meeting brought together partners and stakeholders from the research and education network community, including three (3) representatives from the Information Management Division, Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), namely Ms. Harlina binti Othman (Division Secretary of Information Management), Ms. Rani binti Aris (Principal Assistant Secretary), and Ms. Fadzilah binti Ahmad (Senior Assistant Secretary), as well as two (2) representatives from Iburuj Network Sdn Bhd. The meeting provided a platform to discuss the latest developments of the Asi@Connect programme, regional collaboration, and initiatives related to research, education, and digital technologies.
The meeting provided a platform for participants to exchange updates, experiences and insights on the development of research and education networks in the region. Discussions also focused on strengthening regional cooperation and enhancing connectivity and collaboration among participating countries and institutions.
The participation of Malaysian representatives provided an opportunity to gain insights into regional developments and initiatives under Asi@Connect, while also strengthening engagement with international partners and stakeholders. The meeting further supported knowledge sharing and collaboration in advancing research and education network infrastructure and services across the region.
