The APAN 59 Meeting was successfully held from 3 to 7 March 2025 in Yokohama, Japan. The international meeting brought together researchers, technical experts, National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), universities, and relevant agencies to discuss the latest developments in network technologies and their applications in research and education. MYREN was represented by two (2) representatives from the Information Management Division, Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), namely Datuk Mohamad Azhan bin Md Amir (Deputy Secretary-General (Management and Development)) and Mr. Abdul Kudus bin Ibrahim (Senior Assistant Secretary), alongside one (1) representative from Iburuj Network Sdn Bhd.
The programme comprised various working group sessions, workshops, training sessions, technical presentations and collaborative discussions, providing participants with opportunities to exchange knowledge, share experiences and explore potential areas of collaboration in research and education networking.
Through participation in the meeting, participants gained valuable insights into the latest developments in research and education network technologies, as well as opportunities to strengthen engagement and collaboration with the regional and international research and education networking community.
